Venture for Canada announces partnership with Fasken
Venture for Canada (VFC) announced a new partnership with Fasken, a leading Canadian law firm, which has extensive expertise in advising start-ups and scale-ups.
“Fasken’s commitment to supporting Canadian businesses and entrepreneurs directly aligns and complements the work we do at Venture for Canada,” says Scott Stirrett, Founder and CEO of VFC. “We’re excited for all the upcoming collaborations with Fasken.”
The new partnership will support entrepreneurial recent grads who participate in VFC’s Fellowship Program. Fasken will host and sponsor a series of events, such as job fairs for Fellows and startups, multi-disciplinary training events, capstone project presentations, and graduation ceremonies for program participants.

Venture for Canada Fellows receive access to a month-long training camp, ongoing training, and 15-months of applied work experience at an innovative Canadian startup. To date, 325 Fellows have participated in the program, with 100% of Fellows from the 2019 cohort being assessed by their employers as meeting or exceeding expectations. Venture for Canada Fellows have received such accolades as being accepted into Y Combinator, named to MIT’s 35 Innovators Under 35, and being named to the Bay Street Bull 2018 Power 50. The next intake of applications for the 2021 Fellowship Cohort will open this Fall.
